Hi There,

My name is Praveena Prabhakaran. Earlier days of my childhood I believed it is so important for us to fill our homes with things that make us happy, which is why I started creating art and dressing my home with colors I love. My first experience as an artist was happened in a highly charged and very traumatic time, year 2018.There is no greater loss than loss of your own child. Grief.. isn’t something you just get ‘over’ but something one learns to live through. For me Art helped me to overcome the bereavement and grief process like therapy or meditation. Art can have such a tremendous effect on our emotional well- being and extremely passionate about how art can uplift and inspire.

Have worked in different mediums including acrylic, oil, watercolor, gouache ,digital & pen and in different styles including abstract, landscapes, contemporary, realism & expressionism. I gain inspiration from nature, wildlife, colors and all the beauty in the World. Year 2021 I have got one opportunity to become a member of a International non profit organization  International Association of visual arts, IAVA based in Italy and featured three of my wild life family series paintings. Had a true passion for realistic art, which remains the focus of my current work. I work primarily with acrylics, oil, digital and watercolor.

Currently I'm working on my artworks from Home Studio in Sharjah. I'm officially a stay-at-home mom now, so painting typically happens during nap-time or after my toddlers bedtime. About my educational qualification which not at all related to fine art But just sharing I'm a graduate in BBM(CA) and Post graduated in MBA(HR).Before or in between my art life I have worked in  Multinational companies HR management located in UAE and India. I'm currently living with my family consist of my Husband Varun and My Son Yuvaan. Each one of my art represents my each day with out my child. But now for me art is not only healer and it is one of my purpose and only passion of my life. I believe that being an artist is something that one is born to do and not learned at school, I went on to study through practical experiences, learning through trial and error and self-learning studying the works of famous artists as my teachers Carla Grace, Andrew Tischler, Katie Jobling and many more... Hopefully my story inspires or give strength to many fellow people out there who is struggling with loss of loved ones and thinking that can’t rebuilt your life back and live with peace of mind. I have tried to convert my traumatic experience to learn and develop new routines to improve as a positive and energetic person with good vibes and deeds with moral and more spiritual values.
